It is a privilege to be the Principal of Beauty Point Public School and to lead a school with such a strong sense of community.
At Beauty Point, we want every child to feel known, valued and supported to achieve their personal best. Our staff are committed to providing high-quality teaching alongside a broad range of opportunities that allow students to discover their strengths, develop confidence and enjoy learning.
Our school has a strong reputation within the local community for providing a well-rounded education. Students achieve strong results in literacy and numeracy, complemented by opportunities across music, sport, technology, the creative arts and transdisciplinary learning. Programs including Visible Learning, Grow Your Mind and Positive Behaviour for Learning support our approach to teaching, learning and wellbeing.
Student wellbeing is central to everything we do. We know that children learn best when they feel safe, supported and connected to their school. Our staff take the time to know their students as individuals and work closely with families to support their academic, social and emotional development.
We are also proud of the diversity of our community. Around 48% of our students come from a language background other than English, with over 20 languages spoken across our families. This diversity brings different experiences, perspectives and cultures into our school and enriches the learning of all students.
Strong partnerships with families are an important part of life at Beauty Point. We want parents and carers to feel welcome, informed and connected to their child's education, and we value the contribution our families make to the life and culture of our school.
