VISION FOR RECONCILIATION
Beauty Point Public School is situated on the Lands of the Cammeraygal people. The historical rock art on our school grounds reminds us that Traditional Custodians have a long history and a unique place and connection to this Land. We acknowledge that Australia’s First Nations Peoples are connected to the oldest continual, surviving cultures, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Reconciliation is a journey where we learn from the past to create a better future. One that strengthens relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples. Reconciliation is everyone's business, and for everyone's benefit.
We commit to respecting and recognising the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as part of our shared national story and identity, through meaningful connections with the curriculum, and continued partnership with the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG), we are dedicated to developing and maintaining positive partnerships between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and the school.
Reconciliation is an ever-evolving journey, shaped by the community, school, families and students. As learners, we all walk this path together.
